Ok this helps but why do you have to disable to not have it running when you just have the sound on?
Whenever I reboot it comes on and I have to go in & mute I shouldn't have to do that everytime.

I have strange problem. My laptop NEC LS150/1 LaVie - windows 8 - used to record music from my digital piano, without any problems. I have used the connection from piano (CASIO CDP-200R) via headphones plug connected to sound in (the second plug on the left hand side of laptop) and perhaps the quality of sound wasn't the best but I could edit it and clean additional noises.

Now, I don't know why, it doesn't record that way anymore. All the input sound is recorded via internal microphones on laptop, no matter what I plug in. I have also tried the usb connection and it doesn't work either.

I have installed Asio Drivers and it shows on some softwares (i.e. Fl Studio or Wave Pad editor and on Magix Music Maker). It doesn't show on Audacity. But still, I am getting either "echo sound" or spinning sound of speakers and if I get my piano recorded it is only from internal microphones on laptop. I have tried to disable internal microphones and enable only the Realtek High Definition Audio Default Device, still nothing helps.

What shell I do? How to re-establish possibilities of recording at home.

Many thanks for help in advance.
