This is a 100%, 12 month didactics position that would teach 21 credits per semester. The position applies a depth and latitude of industry and content expertise to teach graduate-level curriculum for the IBH and ADDC programs. The position is also engaged in pupil support, advising and in community outreach to disseminate expertise, to identify new customs partners and internship placement sites and supervisors, and to recruit new students for the ADDC and IBH programs. This position reports to the Acquaintance Dean for Graduate Didactics.

This position is being posted at the Educational activity Specialist and Lecturer ranks.  The final rank will be determined by the selected private'south qualifications. More than information in the Education and Experience department.

Responsibilities

Course Development and Instruction (80%)

• Provide pedagogy for Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) and Addictions Counseling (ADDC) courses (21 credit hours per 12-month bookish yr).
• Utilize technological and pedagogical all-time practices to enhance curriculum delivery and accessibility to accommodate working developed students.
• Interact with program staff and community faculty to ensure successful integration of required coursework and country licensing requirements. Maintain industry and content expertise and proceed electric current with inquiry findings, workforce trends, professional person ethics and policies, and best exercise initiatives related to mental health and substance abuse counseling to inform the depth and breadth of course content.
• Contribute to and participate in program enhancement initiatives including decisions related to program policies, internship placements and course content, developing new courses or revising existing courses.

Program and Student Support (20%)

• Participate on the access committee and other program events such equally new student orientations, information sessions, etc.
• Meet virtually and in-person with students to provide academic advising and support.
• Review and evaluate IBH student Portfolios to determine student clinical
• competence and successful achievement of program learning objectives.
• Participate in customs outreach/partnership initiatives and educatee recruiting efforts.
  

Candidates with a Masters degree volition be appointed as a Teaching Specialist; those with a Ph.D. or Psy.D. will exist appointed as a Lecturer. This is a 12-calendar month 100% total-time position.

Required:

• An earned graduate degree in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, mental wellness counseling, customs counseling, counselor education or master of social work from an accredited establishment of higher didactics.
• A minimum of three years clinical practice with co-occurring mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders
• Licensed equally a professional clinician (LADC, LPCC, LICSW, LMFT or LP) or qualified to obtain such licenses in Minnesota
• Must be able to teach at scheduled course time, including evening and weekends, and accommodate office hours at times user-friendly for students
• Proven ability to work successfully with diverse groups of people

Preferred:

• An earned doctorate in a related field (Psy.D/ Ph.D/Ed.D etc.) - Required for the Lecturer rank.
• Didactics feel in a higher pedagogy setting with a solid record of strong student evaluations.
• Documented experience in curriculum development and/or various teaching modalities, including online, face up-to-face up, hybrid, etc.
• Clinical or teaching experience in thematic areas such equally co-occurring mental wellness and addictions care, assessment and handling planning, differential and/or avant-garde diagnostics, homo development, bear witness-based counseling skills etc.
• Splendid written and exact communication and interpersonal skills
